A beverage partner built on family, service, and community.
Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Minden began in 1901 when our founder, William S. Hunter, opened a small bottling works in Minden, Louisiana. In 1905, he started bottling Coca-Cola, a growing fountain syrup brand created in 1886 by inventor John Pemberton in Atlanta, GA, and that was first bottled in 1894 by Joseph Biedenharn in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Minden Coca-Cola was one of the first businesses to partner with Biedenharn to bottle and distribute the new product. In those days, bottles were delivered using mule-drawn wagons, and a bottler’s territory was determined by how far a mule team could go out and return by nightfall. By 1914, we were operating out of the same spot on Pine Street where the plant is today.
For 125 years, through wars, depressions, booms and busts, this company has served and refreshed the 3 parishes of Bienville, Claiborne, and Webster, Louisiana. It’s still a family business, owned by the Hunter and Robertson families, now in their fifth generation as owners.
Bring value to our associates, consumers, customers, and owners by providing the best beverage products the industry has to offer and the best service available.
Family, service, community, customer satisfaction, employee development, workplace safety, and fair and honest treatment for every individual.
We are committed to a positive work environment, rewarding careers, competitive wages, strong benefits, and the high level of service our customers expect and deserve.
